Seth Michael Alexander was born in Indianapolis, IN and raised in Columbus, OH within a family of drummers and musicians alike. He first began playing percussion in the 6th grade and began playing drum set seriously in the 7th. Throughout high school, he excelled within in his classes but had a bigger passion towards music. He graduated a Valedictorian of Reynoldsburg High School, and that year auditioned for several collegiate level music programs.

In 2012, he began attending Ohio University in Athens, Ohio to study with Professor Roger Braun. Seth graduated cum laude from O.U. with a bachelor's degree in Music Performance with a certificate in Jazz Studies in 2012. In the fall of 2016, he began pursuing a master's degree at Ohio University in Music Performance, focusing in Jazz Studies, and graduated in May 2018. He now resides in Columbus, Ohio.


Seth has several new and established projects in the Ohio music scene:

Largemouth Brass Band is Seth's newest project, having established itself for a year now in the Athens music scene. -

Julia Neville is a rising country artist from Logan, Ohio that Seth began playing with in July of 2017. The band has played all around Ohio and was recently featured in the CMA Festival in Nashville, TN during June of 2018.

Wolfmen has been playing within the Athens music scene for over 3 years now, having recorded two full-length albums. The avante garde rock power-trio- now quartet- was born out of collaborations from the Ohio University School of Music. The album entitled In a Quiet Place was released in the summer of 2016, and The Man Who Disappeared was released in the winter of 2017. -

Seth was a member of an Athens-based swing-rock band known as Fathers of the Revolution. The band finished it's last endeavors after releasing their first record under the Brick City label, named Underground People in May 2014.

6:5 Quartet is a new-groove music quartet that was based out of Athens, OH for just two years (2014-2016), and has recently parted ways by producing their first album (available soon!). Seth began the group during with the collaboration of fellow students (Drew Wright, Jason Snoddy, & Greg Becker) from the Ohio University School of Music. Seth plays vibraphone with the quartet, as well as composes tunes for the group to perform.
